If you plan only one family activity on your By the Wye Holiday, make it a Woody Wilding adventure. Our Woodland Ranger knows the woods like the back of his hands. His enthusiasm is hard to resist and you can’t fail to be swept along as you learn about the animals, trees and plants. Book a family activity and explore the woods at night, learn the essentials of outdoor survival or take your children on a Mini Wilding adventure.

By the Wye has a resident Woodland Ranger called Dan. An arboriculturist by trade, he has a passion for the local wildlife and is ready and eager to share his woodland skills and the secrets of the woodlands with you. Stalk through the night time woods on a family activity trying to spot elusive animals. Discover where the wild garlic grows or how to brew a mint tea. Your Woodland Ranger will bring the woodland alive for you.
