Site Access

By the Wye has a stone track to access the car parking area, located in an old quarry 50m off the main road. There is a minimum gradient of 1:15 and the path is 1080mm wide or more. Please drive slowly and carefully on the track (maximum speed 5mph) and be mindful that walkers with dogs and wild animals also use the track. Car parking is free for all By the Wye guests.

The car parking area is mostly level and gravelled. There is uneven ground throughout the wooded areas of the site. There are sloping areas from the main entrance throughout the site. There are uneven areas and grassed ground down to the river

There is a short mostly downhill walk (approx. 500m) with a wheelbarrow across a woodland track to get to the safari tents. The terrain is a mixture of grass and stone gravelled track so the terrain is unlevel and suitable footwear will be required.

Please note there is no pathway lighting to the safari tents from the car parking area. A torch is provided for your convenience and we encourage guests to arrive before dark for this reason.

Let us know your time of arrival and we will meet you in the car parking area and check you in to your accommodation.
