This dog-friendly pub is full of character, has cosy corners and an open fire which is perfect for relaxing in front of after a long walk or a day spent exploring. They serve a number of delicious beverages like cider and bottled wine as well as great food!


The best wine bar and restaurant in Hay on Wye. Small yummy tapas are made from the best ingredients sourced locally from the wonderful profusion of growers and makers on the Welsh borders. Wines and beers are, of course, largely sourced from Spain, and they serve illy coffee all of which can be enjoyed indoors or in their back garden which has a great shelter to protect from the element.


At The Globe you will find a cosy and welcoming cafe, run in collaboration with the Globe Kitchen. They celebrate food that is sourced and cooked sustainably, allowing menus to evolve with the seasons. This family-friendly cafe and restaurant is relaxed and vibrant, and on warm days you can choose to eat al fresco. 


Set among glorious countryside, The Baskerville Arms welcomes muddy paws with open arms. So, after you have spent the day on the water, cycling, sight-seeing or walking a quick refreshment will be needed. This pub is near the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons National Park and Offa’s Dyke Path as well as being a short distance from the River Wye.


The Three Tuns Pub and Restaurant is reputed to be the oldest surviving house in the town and in recognition of its importance has a Grade II listing. It has a huge central Inglenook chimney and a wealth of period features including the original dog leg staircase. The pub welcomes loyal locals, along with visitors from further afield. The serve a selection of local beers, cask ales and great wines by the glass. The restaurant offers an Italian-inspired menu available throughout the day to enjoy in front of a crackling fire during winter or on the sun-soaked terrace in the summer.


Located in the heart of Hay on Wye, the Kilverts Inn serves incredible food and much of it is locally sourced! They also serve a number of multi award-winning ales and wine by both the glass and the bottle as well as a choice of over thirty malt whiskies!. Dogs are welcomed, but they are not allowed on the lawn area. The Kilverts Inn is a lovely place to relax whilst being just outside of the Brecon Beacons National Park!
